USA creating fake people, fake stories?

I think the answer is, NO!

Go to the Twitter/X link and look at that ‘‘Avery Williamson’’ Here’s the WaPo story

Now go to Google, Bing, Duck Duck or whatever search engine you want and try to find a pediatrician in South Bend (anywhere) by the name of Avery Williamson. I’ll wait………..

Not gonna happen.

Remember when USA was a good newspaper? I guess that was too long ago for most people…

That’s one hell of a correction!

It’s a pretty major flub, allegedly by the printer, but still, this is one hell of a correction — or a Getting It Right [GIR] as we used to call it in the newsroom.

Here’s the text in case you can’t read it from the screencap:

As most readers of The Daily Sentinel print edition undoubtedly noticed on Sunday, there was a major printing error.
There were several pages in the Sunday edition that were pages from Saturday’s edition.
We apologize for the error.
The error by our printing contractor was only in the print edition, the online e-Edition at www. gjsentinel.com is correct.
Missing in the print edition were stories about campaign donors in the 3rd Congressional District race and about the Mesa County Coroner’s Office announcement that remains discovered near Whitewater in 2011 have been identified.
In the sports section, unfortunately, there was only a single correct page.
At this point, we will be reprinting the entire A and B sections, and they will be inserted into our Wednesday print edition.
Again, we apologize for the mistake and the inconvenience it created.
