“Wanna Buy a Paper, Mister?” Something that I probably asked guys hundreds, if not thousands, of times as a kid hawking newspapers to soldiers stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado.
I can’t imagining any parent letting their kids do that now, but back in the day that’s how we all rolled. It was no big deal for a 10-year-old to be in the middle of an Army base, alone, trying to sell a few newspapers.
I’m posting items about newspapers here because someone still has to care. Right?
