My good buds over at Mother Jones take a look at newspaper obituaries reporting the 2012 deaths of notable women and compare those with deaths of notable men.
Of course they don’t add up, with women being reported less than men.
Is it really a “generational thing” meaning that women dying now were most influential in the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s so there aren’t as many of them, or is some sexist bias?
