Alaska’s newest Newspaper!

The Alaska Daily is soon to join our fake Newspaper community!

Thanks to ABC TV, a new show casts Hillary Swank as a big-city newspaper reporter transplanted to Alaska to work for the Alaska Daily to investigate a missing/dead woman.

Here’s the blurb;

Recently disgraced reporter Eileen Fitzgerald leaves her high-profile New York life behind to join a daily metro newspaper in Anchorage, Alaska, on a journey to find both personal and professional redemption.

Of course, there is no Alaska Daily, but there is an Anchorage Daily News

Normally, I would include some screen shots of the promo video, but for some reason WordPress is not letting me. So go here for a look: https://abc.com/shows/alaska-daily

THe new series kicked off on Oct. 6

… time for the joke

Man buys a newspaper at the same newstand every day, glances at front page, throws it straight out.
Day after day after day.
Eventually, the news seller asks, “Why do you do that?”
The man answers, “I’m just checking for an obituary.”
“But obituaries aren’t on the front page.”
‘When the sonofabitch I’m looking for dies, it will be.”

an old joke

I’ll leave it to you to determine who just died. And yes, he’s on the front page of Today’s New York Times.

Queen Elizabeth II’s death

Newspapers around the world covered the Queen of England’s passing differently. I’ve selected some samples in categories I call: News | Poster | Wave | Young | WTW

Here you go:

News

Poster

Wave

There are so many Newspapers that used pictures of her waving. Two gives you the idea.

Young

WTW

Seriously, what were editors thinking?! DeMorgen‘s is just plain old BAD TASTE.

Can’t be bothered

And here’s one of my old Newspapers, which thought a trash heap needed most of the front page:

Stay tuned on how the Newspapers looks at the King Charles III coronation.
