The Sun has announced that it will publish a 3-D edition the week before the start of this year’s World Cup. The tie is (I suppose) is that 25 games of the World Cup will be broadcast in 3-D for the first time.

3-D glasses will come with the paper and content is said to include both advertising and editorial.

Undoubtedly the editorial content will include some some pretty nifty soccer photos, but remember, The Sun is most know for the topless women on Page 3.

The Sun is reportedly upping its press run by hundreds of thousands for the 3-D issue.
