Missed this back in September, but this article from The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s online site names its former building as one of the worst eyesores in Atlanta. I used to walk past that building everyday on my way to the newer AJC building, which the newspaper’s parent company ended up giving away to the city of Atlanta when it moved out in 2011.
I always thought trees growing up through the decks, roof and windows were kind of cool.
I believe the Georgia Dept. of Transportation is the building’s current owner and plans are for it to be torn down (of course) as part of a new “multi-modal” passenger terminal.
