From the Earth to the Moon — One more time!


The Space Shittle Endeavor will (may) be in space this week, marking the 40th anniversary of Apollo 11’s historic flight to the Moon.

If you want to relive the mission, or experience it for the first time, head on over to The site, by the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, will “cover” the mission starting at 8:02 a.m. (EDT) July 16 — 90 minutes before the start of the moonshot.

The mission will proceed at the site in real-time through the anniversary of the Moon landing Monday, July 20.

CapCom and the astronauts will Twitter during the mission, which should be fun to see how modern technology will be used. And it’ll be interesting to see if Neil will once again flub his historic line.
